José Carlos Gonzalez

Chief Executive Officer

José is the CEO and co-founder of Themes ETFs. He was also the co-founder and former director of Global X, a New York based provider of exchange traded funds. José was instrumental to the success of Global X, making the company a reference as a provider of exchange traded funds that nowadays has surpassed $10 billion in managed assets across more than 60 different products.

Throughout his career, José has acquired unique expertise in the asset management and brokerage business, having served in roles at Prudential Securities, MAPFRE Inversion, and Banco Santander. José earned his Bachelor’s degree from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.

Dobromir Kamburov

Chief Operating Officer

Dobromir is the COO and co-founder of Themes ETFs. He is a cross-discipline innovator with strong aptitude for strategically assessing, formulating, and solving technical & business challenges in finance, robotics, and big-data. Dobromir is result-driven with a taste for high-impact projects that cross multiple industries.

Having a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University, Dobromir has co-authored over 30 articles in experimental condensed-matter physics, published in Physical Review Letters, Physical Review B, and Applied Physics Letters. His scientific work explored the properties of two-dimensional (2D) electron and hole systems in GaAs/AlAs quantum wells at very low temperatures and in the presence of strong magnetic fields.

Dobromir’s research pioneered a method to directly probe the size of the Fermi contour of low-field carriers and their high-field composite fermion counterparts near half-filled Landau level with the goal of fundamentally understanding the effects of feminization and the underlying symmetries between electrons and holes.

Tracy Grant is the General Counsel and co-founder of ThemesETFs.

Tracy is a seasoned, goal-focused legal professional with demonstrated track record of advising and representing high-profile international corporations, international investment banking institutions, mutual funds and insurance companies.

Her experience is in providing incomparable advice on mutual funds, secured transactions, financing transactions, securities and regulatory compliance and corporate and commercial law.

Tracy Grant is the General Counsel and co-founder of ThemesETFs.

Tracy is a seasoned, goal-focused legal professional with demonstrated track record of advising and representing high-profile international corporations, international investment banking institutions, mutual funds and insurance companies.

Her experience is in providing incomparable advice on mutual funds, secured transactions, financing transactions, securities and regulatory compliance and corporate and commercial law.

Paul Marino

Chief Revenue Officer

As the Chief Revenue Officer at Themes ETFs, Paul oversees all sales, marketing, public relations, and business development for the company. With over 24 years of experience in these fields, he excels at commercializing products and services, building partnerships, and leading complex initiatives. Paul has extensive experience in driving B2B go-to-market strategies through process development, sales enablement, data-driven marketing, and operational excellence.

As the CRO of GraniteShares, Paul oversaw all aspects of marketing, business development, and sales across the core ETFs and single-stock exchange-traded products (ETPs), growing AUM from $1.5 billion to more than $8 billion during his tenure.

Prior to joining GraniteShares, Paul served as Vice President of Business Development for Allianz Life. He has also held various senior leadership roles at organizations including Facet Wealth, Russell Investments, Amundi US (formerly Pioneer Investments), Federated Investors, and New York Life Insurance Company. He also serves as a consultant for the Maestro Group, an elite group of thinkers, learners, and trainers whose mission is to change the financial futures of individuals and organizations by teaching the science and art of sales.

Calvin Tsang

Head of Product Management & Development

Calvin Tsang has been with Themes Management Company LLC since its inception in January 2023, serving as the Head of Product Management & Development and as a Portfolio Manager. He is responsible for building out the ETF platform and infrastructure in the US.

Calvin possesses a rich depth of knowledge in managing ETF strategies, spanning across commodities, options, equity, and fixed income. Prior to joining Themes Management Company LLC, Calvin was a Portfolio Manager at Cboe Vest from January 2021 to December 2022, Multi-Asset Portfolio Manager at QS Investors from May 2019 to December 2020, and Senior Portfolio Analyst at ProShares from August 2014 to May 2019.

Calvin is a CFA charterholder and a certified FRM. He earned dual Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Economics from Binghamton University.

Kevin Shao

US Product Management & Development

Dingxun (Kevin) Shao joined Themes Management Company LLC in July 2023 as the Vice President of Product Management & Development. In this role, he plays a crucial part in the expansion of the ETF business in the US and concurrently serves as a portfolio manager.

With 9 years of experience in the financial services sector, Kevin brings a wealth of expertise to his role. His most recent tenure was at ProShares Advisors LLC, where he began as a portfolio analyst and rose to the position of associate portfolio manager.

Kevin earned his Bachelor of Science degree with a dual major in Finance and Information Systems from the University of Maryland College Park, Robert H. Smith School of Business.

Dingxun (Kevin) Shao joined Themes Management Company LLC in July 2023 as the Vice President of Product Management & Development. In this role, he plays a crucial part in the expansion of the ETF business in the US and concurrently serves as a portfolio manager.

Taylor Krystkowiak

VP, Investment Strategist

Taylor Krystkowiak brings over a decade of experience within asset management and investment analysis.

As the firm’s Investment Strategist, Taylor leads the publication and presentation of macroeconomic and market research, which showcase the firm’s innovative investments and how they can be positioned within portfolios.

Taylor earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees in economics and finance from Harvard University, where he graduated with highest honors and earned admission to the Phi Beta Honor Society, with coursework in econometrics, investment theory, and quantitative statistics.

Prior to joining Themes ETFs in 2023, Taylor was Vice President of Product Management at Cboe Vest and an Investment Strategy Analyst at Raymond James.

Taylor Krystkowiak brings over a decade of experience within asset management and investment analysis.

As the firm’s Investment Strategist, Taylor leads the publication and presentation of macroeconomic and market research, which showcase the firm’s innovative investments and how they can be positioned within portfolios.

VP, Portfolio Consultant

As Vice President and Head of the Internal Sales Desk, Jared leads a dynamic team dedicated to driving revenue growth and optimizing sales strategies. With a decade of experience in sales and management, Jared excels in developing innovative approaches to client engagement and sales processes.

Jared received his bachelor’s degree in business administration and financial markets from the University of Minnesota – Duluth. To enhance his expertise in financial analysis and investment strategies, Jared is a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®).

Prior to joining Themes ETFs in 2024, Jared was a Senior Internal Sales Director at Victory Capital.

As Vice President and Head of the Internal Sales Desk, Jared leads a dynamic team dedicated to driving revenue growth and optimizing sales strategies. With a decade of experience in sales and management, Jared excels in developing innovative approaches to client engagement and sales processes.

Jared received his bachelor’s degree in business administration and financial markets from the University of Minnesota – Duluth. To enhance his expertise in financial analysis and investment strategies, Jared is a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®).

Prior to joining Themes ETFs in 2024, Jared was a Senior Internal Sales Director at Victory Capital.

Paul Bartkowiak

Associate VP, Portfolio Management

Paul Bartkowiak joined Themes Management Company LLC in April 2024 serving as AVP of Portfolio Management. In this role, Paul is responsible for the daily management of the firm’s ETFs.

With 9 years of experience in the financial services sector, Paul has held prior roles at NISA Investment Advisors, LLC and Reinsurance Group of America. Paul’s most recent tenure was at ProShares Advisors LLC, where served as Senior Portfolio Analyst, most recently managing their Commodity and Cryptocurrency ETFs.

Paul earned a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Dayton and MBA from St. Louis University, Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business.

She has vast experience in International and Digital Marketing, Business Development, Project Management, PR, and Communications, having previously worked in the media and entertainment industry for leading companies, including Sony Music Entertainment.

Margarita holds a BSc in International Business with German from the University of Warwick, UK, and a French Baccalaureate high school diploma. She is multilingual (English, French, German, Bulgarian).

Margarita joined Themes in 2024 as a Marketing Expert, responsible for building fully aligned marketing strategies, contributing to the overall business development and growth of the company.

Prior to joining Themes ETFs, Milena worked on various branding projects. She keeps developing and expanding her skills in 3D design and UI/UX design fields.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic design, as well as a Minor in Web Design and Graphic advertising.
