Nvidia and Amazon Are Investing in Humanoid Robots
June 12, 2026 | Research Insights
Humanoid robots are fast becoming a reality and the world’s largest tech companies are investing in the sector. Earlier this month, German robotics firm Neura Robotics raised $1.4 billion in a Series C funding round in which both Amazon and Nvidia participated1.
For investors, this is another sign that the humanoid robotics theme has significant potential. After all, companies like Amazon and Nvidia don’t chase hype when they deploy their capital.
Who is Neura Robotics?
Neura Robotics is focused on creating cognitive robots that can perceive, learn, and interact with the world around them. Founded in 2019, it has developed the 4NE1, a humanoid engineered to move with human-like fluidity, perceive its surroundings with precision, and collaborate seamlessly with people.
Features of this robot include 360-degree perception, sensor skin, multimodal AI, and reinforcement learning. Thanks to these attributes, the 4NE1 can navigate unstructured industrial environments, understand complex tasks, and respond to changing conditions in real time.

The latest funding round – which also received backing from Qualcomm, Tether, Bosch, Schaeffler, and the European Investment Bank – will provide capital to support the production of millions robots by 2030 as well as the growth of Neura Gyms (the world’s first real-world training environments for cognitive robots and Physical AI)1 and the Neuraverse (an open ecosystem where robots continuously learn and share skills). It will also help with the development of next generation physical AI systems.
It’s worth noting that the capital raise is the largest ever from a full-stack robotics company.1 According to sources familiar with the matter, the company – which has an existing orderbook and strategic deployment pipeline exceeding $1 billion – now has a valuation of around $7 billion2.

Big Tech Companies See Potential in Physical AI
Commenting on the capital raise, Nafea Bshara, Vice President at Amazon Web Services, said: “This investment is a natural extension of our strategic partnership with Neura Robotics and our shared conviction in the transformative potential of Physical AI.” Nakul Duggal, EVP and Group GM, Automotive, Industrial and Embedded IoT, and Robotics at Qualcomm Technologies was just as bullish on the future of the technology, stating: “Physical AI represents the next major evolution of computing, extending intelligence into real-world environments.”
Access to Humanoid Robotics Stocks
Now, retail investors obviously cannot invest directly in Neura Robotics because it’s a private company. But they can invest in other players in the humanoid robotics industry such as Tesla, XPeng, and RichTech Robotics.
They can also gain access to the industry via thematic products that offer broad exposure to the theme. One such product is the Themes Humanoid Robotics ETF, which seeks to track the Solactive Global Humanoid Robotics Index.
